More photos from the Blockhaus at Eperlecques... A lot of it was eventually destroyed by allied bombs (left). Narrow gauged trains carried building materials to the site and removed rubble. The railway is made of easily dismantled parts that can be moved where it is needed. This idea has been taken on by mining and other industries (top right). The green machine doesn't use hydraulics but uses a series of pulleys to lift and excavate (bottom right).
